What started out as a summer job, the year before starting the MBA program at University of Miami, has turned into a life-long love of purchasing and design. Mivasa Worldwide Inc, founded in 1983, by my father Stuart Harries upon moving to Miami from Trinidad, has been a highly-regarded go to purchasing house for multi-national companies, conglomerates, and titans of industry in the Caribbean. In 2019 after Stuart’s retirement, Vanessa rebranded the company as it’s known today, Patience Purchasing Agency.

 

Open for over 40 years, the company has grown and maintained relationships for the life of the company. Not one to advertise, Mivasa/PPA maintains its strong generational foothold in the Caribbean due to word of mouth recommendations, client relationships, and exceptional service.
